I recently read that opening our hearts to beauty leads to opening our hearts to love. It was posited that when we create beauty around ourselves as we do when we surround ourselves with plants, flowers, works of art, lovely fabrics, we can't help but open ourselves to feeling love and gratitude for it all. We open our creative, intuitive, spiritual side. If you can love and appreciate the intricate design in the bark of a tree or the vibrancy of a flower, or the balance of a thrown piece of pottery, that might lead you into loving and appreciating the beauty of you and your own soul. It may lead you to loving and appreciating others more and it might open you to feeling more gratitude for your life and your journey, here. I hadn't thought about it before but it does make sense to me. I would love to hear your thoughts on this...and I hope all of you who read this consider feeding your soul with beauty and opening yourself up to ever more love.
